Lowland hay meadows cover about 78.2 ha. They frequently occur in a spatial context of calcareous oligotrophic grasslands. Altogether the grassland sites in the project area are characterised by a large number of flowers, seeds and fruits with positive effects on the fauna.
The development of meadows and pastures is closely related to the history of our cultural landscape. Most of the sites in the project area are currently mown. Occasionally some of the sites are mowed pastures, or they are only grazed, or their utilization has recently been given up. Currently the
use of most areas has greatly intensified.
